NIOMA BIO

The Niagara Institute of Music & Arts opened its doors in 2002 when Founder & CEO Rick Rose and his wife decided to bring to their hometown a teaching facility that encompasses all the aspects of music training.
They set up their Music training centre in the Historic Educational Building in Niagara known as NFCVI (Niagara Falls Collegiate Vocational Institute) located on Epworth Circle.
Located on the 2nd floor with 4 classrooms and 12 students they started their journey of preparing the visionaries and dreamers and aspirations of your musicians.
Rick applied a unique theory that was inspired by his younger days of working at learning a musical instrument and becoming a professional musician for over 40 years. Rick confesses to being on the shy side as well and his guitar was a crutch to overcome his insecurities.
Rick knew at a young age it takes practice, self-motivation, courage, focus and the 3 most important parts known such as tenacity, perseverance and resilience to get positive results and yes you still need to have fun with it all.

Rick designed a Musical course and brought in Music Instructors that thought like him.
They rolled up their sleeves and went to work, they trained the students, got them ready for stage performance within one year of lessons even at limited levels cause he believed the importance of the social element of getting in front of a crowd, overcoming inhibitions, shyness, insecurities. The best way for this is to get up on stage with your teachers that are right beside every step of the way.
They can be introduced to the sound of applause, the sound of amplification and the personal joy of performing live in front of people.
For 20  years they have stuck to this plan.
We train them, we encourage them, we prep them for RCM Exams and we get them on stage.
NIOMA now has moved to downtown Niagara Falls to 4609 Crysler Avenue. They have expanded into a few more facets of the Music world, as the needs for new modern have to come into play with the ever rapidly growing society that we live in.
We offer instruction in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Violin, Ukulele, and Piano & Vocals Music Theory Specialty Courses are Radio Broadcasting, Recording Studio Sound Engineering and Songwriting.
